When you request an insurance quote or use our service, we collect personal information necessary to evaluate carrier options and service your account:
- Contact details: Name, email address, phone number, mailing address.
- Risk & coverage details: Vehicle information (VIN, make, model), driver history, property specs (for home/renters), current policy details if you upload a dec page.
- Document uploads: Insurance declarations pages, driver's licenses, or vehicle titles you explicitly upload.
- Usage data: IP address, browser type, device details, and basic site usage via cookies and analytics.
2. How we use your information
We use your personal information strictly to:
- Generate quotes from carriers to find coverage that fits your needs
- Communicate with you about quotes, policies, and claims
- Comply with Massachusetts insurance regulations
- Improve our quoting tools and customer experience
We do not sell your information, rent it, or share it for advertising.
3. Who we share it with
We share your information only with:
- Insurance carriers you have asked us to obtain quotes from
- Service providers that operate our systems (e.g., hosting, email delivery), under written agreements that restrict their use of your data

We use a small number of cookies for essential site function and basic analytics (e.g., page views, referral source). We do not use third-party advertising trackers. You can disable cookies in your browser; some site features may not work.
5. Your rights

6. Security
We protect your data with TLS in transit, encrypted storage at rest, role-based access controls for staff, and standard administrative safeguards. No system is 100% secure — if we ever experience a breach affecting your information, we will notify you in accordance with Massachusetts breach-notification law (M.G.L. c. 93H).
7. Retention
Quote inquiries that don't result in a policy are retained for up to 24 months. Bound policy records are retained for the duration of the policy plus seven years, as required by Massachusetts insurance recordkeeping rules.
8. Children's privacy
QuoteOx services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and adjust the "Last updated" date above. Substantive changes affecting existing customers will also be communicated by email.
